Explore the fundamentals of steam-fitting, pipe-fitting, and electrical work through hands-on projects, classroom learning, and industry-led training. By the end of this program, you’ll:

Admission Requirements

  • Academic requirements to expedite movement into apprenticeship role: 
    • A pass mark in all 5 Canadian GED/CAEC tests
    • Canadian high school transcripts with a minimum of English 20-2, Math 20-3 and Science 10
    • Or passing mark in AIT (Alberta Trades Entrance exam)
  • Drivers licence required (learner’s permit not accepted)  
  • Alberta resident
  • Reliable transportation to employer job sites/mod yards
  • Pass drug and alcohol test and lift and carry test, 35-50 pounds (learn more about fitness assessments)

Program Cost

  • Tuition for this program is funded by Air Products Foundation, Worley and the Government of Alberta 
  • Additional funding and awards may be available to support living expenses while in the program

Graduates will have the opportunity to interview with their cohort sponsor (or affiliated contractors) for potential employment.
