Covid-19 Response Update: Rapid Testing & Immunization Policy

Covid-19 Update

Published On
October 5, 2021

To Our WBF Community,

To protect the health of our staff, student and community and continue safe operations of our programs, WBF will be implementing the following additional measures in response to increasing provincial Covid-19 rates:

  1. Rapid Testing

Effective October 6, 2021, we will be implementing a rapid testing program at WBF training facilities. Rapid testing will be required for all individuals visiting a training facility, regardless of vaccination status. Individuals who refuse to participate in the rapid testing program will not be granted access. Rapid testing will be implemented to enhance our current protocols until the Covid-19 Immunization policy is implemented in January 2022.

  1. COVID-19 Immunization Policy

Effective January 4, 2022, WBF will be implementing a Covid-19 Immunization Policy for all staff and students as well as visitors to our training facilities. Authorized exemptions will be granted to individuals for medical and protected grounds (E.g. legally authorized religious grounds). Students, staff, and visitors with authorized exemptions from the policy will be subject to rapid testing.

These measures will support our ongoing efforts to protect the community and align with many of our community and employment partners. The safety of our community continues to be our priority as we navigate the Covid-19 pandemic. We encourage all prospective students to apply for our programs, regardless of vaccination status, and Women Building Futures will work with these individuals to offer resources and support in the process.
