Women Building Futures (WBF) is excited to announce the return of its acclaimed Work Proud workshop—a full-day, in-person training designed for HR professionals, site managers, field supervisors, and emerging leaders in the skilled trades. This transformative event takes place on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at the Edmonton Construction Association (10215 176 St NW).
Why Attend Work Proud?
Work Proud is not an HR training. It’s a hands-on leadership development workshop that equips construction and trades professionals with practical tools to foster inclusive, equitable, and welcoming workplaces. With a focus on workforce diversity, this training is especially valuable for those committed to improving recruitment, retention, and team culture—particularly for women in the trades, who remain underrepresented.
Key Learning Outcomes:
- Creating inclusive and welcoming jobsite environments
- Understanding and mitigating unconscious bias
- Strengthening team morale and workplace culture
- Implementing equity-focused leadership strategies
- Managing organizational change effectively
- Supporting and celebrating workforce diversity
Who Should Attend?
This workshop is ideal for:
- HR managers and human resources professionals
- Construction site supervisors
- Trades forepersons
- Operations managers
- Union representatives
- Industry allies committed to gender equity
While WBF’s mission centers on supporting women in the trades, Work Proud is designed for all industry leaders—especially men and allies—who want to be part of the solution in building a more inclusive and sustainable trades workforce.
