Description

Explore the fundamentals of steam-fitting, pipe-fitting, and electrical work through hands-on projects, classroom learning, and industry-led training. By the end of this program, you’ll:

• Earn key safety certifications
• Build confidence using real tools and equipment
• Learn from industry professionals
• Understand what to expect on a construction site
• Get support transitioning into the workforce

Admission Requirements

  • Must be Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Alberta Resident
  • Driver licence – GDL accepted
  • Ability to pass a drug/alcohol and fitness test – 35-50LBS. (Learn more about fitness assessments)
  • Ability to pass a drug/alcohol and fitness test (cannabis/THC included, even where legal)
  • Reliable transportation to employer job sites/mod yards​
  • Academic requirements to expedite movement into apprenticeship role: ​​
    • Canadian high school transcripts with a minimum of English 20-2, Math 20-3 and Science 10
    • Or a passing mark in all 5 Canadian GED/CAEC tests
    • Or a passing mark in the Alberta Trades Entrance exam with AIT (Category B)
