Readiness Workshops
Learn more about your interests, how to set goals, and build confidence to begin your new journey.
We offer a series of free, online and in-person workshops that provide an opportunity for you to plan and prepare for your new career path.
Foundational Math: Refresh or upgrade your math skills with confidence. This workshop will prepare program applicants to complete the math self-assessment portion of our application process. It’s self-paced and self-directed, with access to an instructor to answer your questions and support your learning.
Tools for Success – Career Exploration: Explore potential careers in construction, trades and driving. Participants complete self-assessment and goal setting activities, and receive information on WBF programming and employment prospects once training is completed.
Tools for Success – Personal Development: Launch or recharge your personal, social, and professional potential. We explore mental, spiritual, emotional and physical wellbeing. Participants complete a self-assessment to help them determine their next steps.
Tools for Success – Money Solutions: This workshop provides the tools and resources to plan spending and develop savings habits with a goal of creating financial stability. Participants learn to take control of their money by building a spending plan based on their goals to attend training.
